Self-defense weapon stun gun or pepper spray?

What self-defense weapon is better: stun gun or pepper spray?

I am going to buy one of these for self defense and peace of mind, but don’t know which would be better. Any suggestions?

Neither, get a .50 caliber Desert Eagle. Always a good choice.

Stun gun puts you into a hell of alot more pain than the pepper spray. Pepper spray is good if you are being mugged, a stun gun is good if you want him to beg for his mommy.

    whatever you perfur:
the stun gun you need perfect aim, if your attacked from behind and can not aim well your done
the pepper spray you can spray when their far away before they can touch you, but spray will most likely get in your eyes too

Both are good in certain circumstances, I would probably chose the stun gun though. Pepper spray is only effective if you get it in the eyes. If you are attacked from behind, there is little chance of being successful. You are also very likely to be cross contaminated.
A stun gun will slow someone down but may not stop the attack. It also needs to used a certain way for maximum effectiveness. Again, if you get attacked from behing, you are SOL.

Personally, I would take self defense courses. You never have to worry about leaving that home, something malfunctioning, or not having a chance to get to it.

I’d have to go with stun gun. It incapacitates (at least temporarily) no matter how strong your target is (you can be trained to take pepper spray, no ammount of training will let you take a stun gun.)

Also, theres less risk of incapacitating YOURSELF in the process.

The main advantage of pepper-spray is that is lingers extremely, and blinds (If you hit the face, pepper-spray is harder to aim then you think, it’s not a spray like lysol, but a stream, like RAID hornet spray lol)

They both have awesome advantages. If you’re taking less-than-lethal defense seriously you might want to take both of them.

But the ultimate final thought? Use neither. Stick between 9mm and .45acp

They are both a great self-defense option for different reasons. While stun guns can be very small, like this cell phone stun gun from DefendWell.com http://www.defendwell.com/stun-master-800000-volt-cell-phone-stun-p-53.html pepper spray can be even more easily carried on a keychain, like this version http://www.defendwell.com/pepper-shot%C3%82%E2%84%A2-ps1a-quick-keychain-release-p-223.html making it even more likely to be at your fingertips when you need it. However, considering that both items are reasonably priced, it might be best to get one of each, carrying the pepper spray at all times, and keeping the stun gun extra handy when in potentially dangerous situations.

Got something to say?
