You've been at it 4 months... take your time. If you don't like the class, leave. But if you like it, you'll learn a lot by repeating basic exercises.

"Waza..Kata...Randori..."

Blah, blah, blah.

You're right. This stuff seems too easy for you. That's what happened to me. Just follow The Hans' simple 4 step process for fixing your mediocre martial arts training:

1: Go to a good MMA gym and get your butt kicked.

2: Then learn to do what they did to you.

3: Get better than them at it.

4: Feel good about what you've learned.

Worked like a charm for me.

Take your time. You'll learn a lot by repeating basic exercises.
and as the military vet thing go's I myself am a military vet and if you didnt take level 1-3 combatives you might as well throw the few techniques they showed you out the window.because they only showed you enough to get whooped.and even still if you did do the level 1-3 combatives course they only showed you like any were around 40-50 techniques. that is all good and well but if you like it stay with it you will learn every thing that you learned in the military but in a whole different way a better more effective way trust me on this.
